Don’t wait for An Asthma Attack

Natural solutions may help avoid it …

Asthma prevalence in Australia is high by international standards: Asthma Australia reports “about 10% of the population (2 million people) have asthma currently”. It affects one in every ten adults on current statistics from the Australian Institute of Health & Welfare. That’s over 2 million people in Australia alone! Asthma also affects about one or two kids out of 10.

Asthma is thought to be caused by a combination of complex and incompletely understood genetic and environmental factors, according to the WHO 2012 report. It’s an instigative (likely to arouse a strong reaction) disorder of the airways. Its diagnosis is usually based on the pattern of symptoms and response to therapy over time.

The occurrence of asthma has increased significantly since the 1970s, but if you have this condition, you don’t have to wait for an attack to do something about it. Here’s 3 important steps to get a grip on the problem . . .  Read More

Boron: A Trace Element Essential For Good Health

After doing one of my daughters hair analysis recently, I discovered that she was low in Boron. Investigating this element, I discovered some important facts about this essential nutrient that showed why a series of apparently unrelated health issues had arisen. Oh the wonders of our physical body!

A little reading and research showed just how amazing this mineral really is for the human body. Boron is a trace mineral, and like all trace elements is essential to human health. Again like all other minerals, Boron must be obtained from one’s diet or from supplementation. And like the other trace elements, we only require it in small – trace amounts.

While I rarely come across a multi vitamin / mineral capsule that contains Boron, I am thrilled to say that the one the Savvy Team recommend does, either via Dunaliella salina or Fucus vesiculosus. So I wondered why she was having challenges with signs of deficiency, until I discovered just how important it is in keeping fungi such as candida at bay. As my daughter had been on long-term antibiotics for ongoing dental problems, I began to connect the dots. Read More

Overcoming Prostate Cancer Naturally

Another prostate success story . . . how Ted overcame Prostate Cancer

The reason Ted came across the Savvy Team, was because despite his facing some very serious health challenges, an acquaintance was impressed by his positive attitude. This friend, Alan gave him some information on what might be able to help and Ted  became a member of the Savvy Team in August 2007 to make it easier to access products and training.

The dates are important, because Ted had been diagnosed with prostate cancer 18 months before, with 3 tumours plus a dangerously high PSA level of 28.  A level of more than 4 in the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test warrants further investigation.

Back in 1992, (15 years before) Ted had broken his back resulting in continual pain, which meant he took strong prescription drugs to deal with the pain.  Only a year after using the savvy strategies for wellness, (by the end of 2008), these painkillers were no longer required, no doubt a benefit of his savvier health regime and the other supporting substances Ted learned about through his support team.  Read More

Immunity: What’s Your Back-Up Plan?

10 ‘Savvy Tips’ for a More Powerful Immune System

Your immune system is a complicated, interesting and amazing system which helps keep you healthy and strong, protecting your body from environmental stressors.

The immune system is a network of organs, tissues and cells that helps to defend the body from invading viruses and micro-organisms that may bring on illness.

We make choices every day that effect our immune system and our health — the foods we eat, the exercise we get (or don’t get), the nutritional supplements we take, our unwitting exposure to harmful chemicals, our mental attitude, whether or not we smoke, etc.

Bad choices weaken our bodies and our immune systems while good choices strengthen our bodies and our immune systems.

Other factors, such as age and heredity, also play a part but their role is much less important than the part we play in our lifestyle choices. What we eat and drink and how we live are the key factors in keeping our immune system running at optimal capacity.

The Savvy Team have some amazing recommendations that seem to make a huge difference to immunity. Read More
