Exhaustion Gone, Temper Tantrums Gone: How ‘Being Savvy’ Improved My Family’s Wellbeing!

Saturday Success Story: Carolyn shares the impact that ‘Being Savvy’ made for her family’s wellbeing!

After my first son Morris was born, he and I were quite unwell.

He had early surgery and wasn’t sleeping for more than two hours at a stretch – before or after. Obviously, we were both exhausted! At eleven months we stopped giving him wheat, dairy and breastmilk. His sleeping began to settle, but we were still not in a good way.

I spoke to a number of different practitioners and therapists (GP, naturopath, osteopath, Tresillian, cranial sacral therapist, a controlled crying person, all sorts of practitioners) to seek help.

“Nothing seemed to work. In fact we were both so exhausted that I was unable to make anything work.”

It was time to take different course of action . . .

Boron: A Trace Element Essential For Good Health

After doing one of my daughters hair analysis recently, I discovered that she was low in Boron. Investigating this element, I discovered some important facts about this essential nutrient that showed why a series of apparently unrelated health issues had arisen. Oh the wonders of our physical body!

A little reading and research showed just how amazing this mineral really is for the human body. Boron is a trace mineral, and like all trace elements is essential to human health. Again like all other minerals, Boron must be obtained from one’s diet or from supplementation. And like the other trace elements, we only require it in small – trace amounts.

While I rarely come across a multi vitamin / mineral capsule that contains Boron, I am thrilled to say that the one the Savvy Team recommend does, either via Dunaliella salina or Fucus vesiculosus. So I wondered why she was having challenges with signs of deficiency, until I discovered just how important it is in keeping fungi such as candida at bay. As my daughter had been on long-term antibiotics for ongoing dental problems, I began to connect the dots. Read More

Feeding The Hungry Microbiome

We live in a world of unfolding epidemics; Autism, ADD, asthma, allergies, anxiety, depression, epilepsy, diabetes, coeliac issues … these conditions overlap with each other…and are related by similar underlying causes.” says Dr. Campbell-McBride. In her Cambridge UK clinic she sees hundreds of children labeled with different disease but presenting with similar issues of malnourishment, toxicity and poor digestive health. The health of our digestive system directly impacts our whole body, and that is what this post will show you, so make sure you watch the video below.

Campbell-McBride is not alone in her plea for personal responsibility in the home, and it is exciting to find so many medical specialists reaching out to the public, telling them what the Savvy Team founders have been saying for decades now – “Your health is directly related to a healthy gut, which depends entirely on the foods you eat, the quality and quantity of nutrition you get, on your mental and emotional state and last but not least, on your exposures to toxins -both exogenous and endogenous.” All of these areas impact your micro biome and you.

Overcoming Prostate Cancer Naturally

Another prostate success story . . . how Ted overcame Prostate Cancer

The reason Ted came across the Savvy Team, was because despite his facing some very serious health challenges, an acquaintance was impressed by his positive attitude. This friend, Alan gave him some information on what might be able to help and Ted  became a member of the Savvy Team in August 2007 to make it easier to access products and training.

The dates are important, because Ted had been diagnosed with prostate cancer 18 months before, with 3 tumours plus a dangerously high PSA level of 28.  A level of more than 4 in the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test warrants further investigation.

Back in 1992, (15 years before) Ted had broken his back resulting in continual pain, which meant he took strong prescription drugs to deal with the pain.  Only a year after using the savvy strategies for wellness, (by the end of 2008), these painkillers were no longer required, no doubt a benefit of his savvier health regime and the other supporting substances Ted learned about through his support team.  Read More
