A Costly Problem Worldwide
Look around. Notice anything? Our world is getting fatter…much fatter. Never before in the history of humanity have so many, and such corpulent bodies walked the earth. Overweight and obese men, women and children now make up the majority of the population of most westernised countries. Isn’t that sad, when you know the health risks associated with it.
People all over the world are getting fatter than ever. Once considered a problem only in high-income countries, obesity is dramatically on the rise in low- and middle-income countries. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of an emerging epidemic of obesity in the developing societies. In fact, the rate of increase in obesity prevalence in developing countries can often exceed that in the industrialised world.
The Savvy Team leaders have gathered together to provide a special opportunity for our family and friends (and some of us too) to loose some of those unwanted kilos before the warmer weather arrives. Want to be looking and feeling great, and back to a slimmer, healthier you for Christmas? Well, here’s your chance to step out of the mould and finally be rid of those unsightly bulges, spreading hips, and dimpled thighs.
Here’s your opportunity to lose 7 or 8 kilos in just three weeks (if you are really overweight, it could be more), in a healthy relaxed way! Sound too good to be true? Make the decision to move that unwanted fat forever – contact us to find out more, you’ll be glad you did.
The USA (74.1 per cent), Australia (67.4 per cent), New Zealand (68.4 per cent) and the UK (61 per cent), have the distinction of being ranked in the top 25 most overweight countries in the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) now describes the prevalence of obesity as an epidemic. (Obesity is defined by percentage of body fat. Women with more than 32 per cent of their weight from fat and men with more than 25 per cent are deemed obese.)
Australian Obesity Is Out of Control
Researchers from the US, UK and World Health Organization estimated trends in obesity, cholesterol and blood pressure using health surveys and epidemiological studies from 199 countries between 1980 and 2008. Australians had the third largest increases in BMI in the world over the past 2 decades.
Australia is today ranked as one of the fattest nations in the developed world. The prevalence of obesity in Australia has more than doubled in the past 20 years and obesity levels in Australia and New Zealand are still rising, a new global study shows. If you would like to know just how well you are doing, check out the BMI assessment here.
Another report found obesity rates in Australia had been increasing faster than any other advanced nation for the past 20 years. The report, which analysed 33 countries, found one in two people were overweight in Australia and the proportion was expected to rise a further 15 per cent in the next 10 years.
Research released in February 2011 from the Cancer Council of Australia & and the Heart Foundation found 1 in 4 teenagers are overweight or obese. If we keep gaining weight at the same rate, in another 20 years, 75% of Australians will be overweight or obese.
The statistics revealing the impact of this obesity epidemic are quite staggering.
The Sad Facts Of Life
- In Australia, in the 2007-08 National Health Survey (NHS) more than 17 million Australians are overweight, and more than four million Australians are obese
- One in two Australians overweight
- 42.1% of Australian adult males and 30.9% of adult females were classified as overweight (Body Mass Index between 25.0 and 30.0 kg/m2).
- 25.6% of Australian males and 24% of females were classified as obese
- If weight gain continues at current levels, by 2020, 80% of all Australian adults and a third of all children will be overweight or obese.
- Obesity has overtaken smoking as the leading cause of premature death and illness in Australia.
- Excess weight has reached epidemic proportions globally, with more than 1.7 billion adults being either overweight or obese.
- WHO predicts there will be 2.3 billion overweight adults in the world by 2015, and more than 700 million of them will be obese.
Obesity has now become the single biggest threat to public health in Australia. On the basis of present trends we can predict that by the time they reach the age of 20 our kids will have a shorter life expectancy than earlier generations simply because of obesity. So we have decided to do something about it, and that’s teach people the simple principles that impact your metabolism, and simple daily strategies that will make a difference to your health, your weight and your life!
How Assimilation of Nutrients Impacts Health
It’s easy for us to swallow vitamins, minerals and herbs. However, we have no assurance we will assimilate the nutrients once they are swallowed. For example, we can have a car that needs gasoline. We can have the gasoline sitting next to the car or in the car. However, until we put the gasoline into the place where it’s needed, we are not going to receive the benefits of the gasoline. In the same manner, the human body can take nutrients and have them inside of us (the blood stream) but until they go to the cellular level (just like the gasoline tank) we won’t get any benefit.
Many people think of assimilation being simply a factor of body function, the gut not working properly for instance. Certainly this is a very common issue and one that needs to be addressed when any health challenge is encountered. Sometimes however, poor assimilation can be related to the ingredients of the products you are taking, or perhaps the necessary co-factors are not present.
There are now many different materials that are used for vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements. I encourage you to buy a quality product that others you know have used and noticed a difference with. If you take supplements and don’t notice a difference or a change in symptoms, then you may want to consider changing brands. So many folks that I talk to, take nutrients on a regular basis but when asked if they can tell they are helping they often reply, “I hope so.” We can know for sure if something is helping if we will begin to evaluate their effectiveness against the symptoms they are supposed to improve.
Why Turn Off The Toxic Tap In Your Life
Rectifying this overload of toxic chemicals as much as possible is the second step of the Savvy Team’s Phase One Fat On The Move program. The importance of these two steps in the whole program cannot be overlooked, as without that, no long-term success can be gained.
Toxic Environmental Substances: However, there are even more modern-day perils that take their toll. Toxic substances breach the blood-brain barrier and enter into the hypothalamus and then into the pituitary gland, where they cause dysfunction; for example, pervasive environmental oestrogen disruptors such as nonylphenol (NP) and bisphenol A (BPA) have a direct adverse impact on the hypothalamus.
Professor Bruce Blumberg, a biologist from the University of California-Irvine who coined the term obesogens, says the causes of obesity are complex, as he discusses a new class of EDCs (endocrine-disrupting chemicals) known as obesogens may be partly to blame.
Obesogens are chemicals that are believed to mimic and interrupt regular hormone function. Researchers say these chemicals can cause weight gain and lead to other major health problems like heart disease, diabetes or endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Disrupting chemicals can be found in food packaging, plastics, pesticides and chemicals, as well as some cosmetics. They include PCBs, BPA and pthalates. They can alter genes and pose as hormones that help regulate the body’s metabolism. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences says that some research finds that even low amounts of exposure to these chemicals may disrupt levels of certain hormones. These chemicals may be found in food, medicines, pesticides and makeup.
Take estrogen, for example. Estrogen, the “female hormone,” typically causes women to gain weight during menopause. When obesogens, pthlates, or other toxic chemicals enter the body, they act like estrogen, reprogramming cells to become fat cells. The body will work to convert calories into fat cells, which produce more estrogen. Therefore diet and exercise may not be enough to lose weight in those hard to budge places.
Household pollution: There is mounting evidence that the common household cleaners and body-care products people buy from the supermarket, are contributing to the dramatic increases in diseases such as Asthma, Allergies, Eczema, Dermatitis, childhood cancer, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Many of the common laundry, kitchen & bathroom cleaning products we use contain chemicals known as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Things like phosphorous, chlorine, formaldehyde, bleach, etc. are regarded as VOCs and are definitely not ‘body-friendly’.
It now appears that many of our ‘wonder cleaners’ and other household products, we purchase every month from our local supermarket, have a case to answer regarding increased pollution levels in the average home and generally contributing to the ‘Toxic Brew’ that we now find in our body. American paediatrician Dr Nancy OHara interviewed by Life Matters host of the ABC radio, 15th August 2011, says that she believed these disorders are linked to environmental toxins and poor nutrition.
There is hope! Fortunately there are many things you can do to improve the situation for you and your family without resorting to washing things in baking soda and lemon juice! We have included a great deal of scientifically based information on this website, along with many authoritative reference and acknowledged studies. If you are troubled by any, or many, of these far-too-common diseases, you will find information on this website to help you and your family. If you have any specific questions, please email us.
We have many proven examples that what these researchers say about toxic chemicals is true, because so many of us have gone on to remove these substances from our lives and suddenly find we automatically release weight without changing our lifestyle at all, plus eliminate a whole range of health complaints, many quite serious and long term.
Electromagnetic Fields: According to medical researcher Robert O. Becker, MD, electromagnetic fields (EMFs) also have an adverse impact on the hypothalamus. “The sites of the greatest change—the brain’s hypothalamus and cortex—were cause for concern. The hypothalamus, a nexus of fibers linking the autonomic nervous system, is the single most important part of the brain for homeostasis and is a crucial link in the stress response. Any interference with cortical activity…would disrupt logical and associational thought…”
With compromised functioning of the hypothalamus, fat will continue to increase whether one eats excessively, normally or minimally. No amount of dieting or exercise will ever cause the stored fat reserves to budge. The plain, simple fact is that this gland does not operate normally in overweight people and probably is compromised to some degree in most people.
In order to release stored fat reserves, increase metabolism and reduce unrelenting physical hunger, the hypothalamus must be reset in both women and men. This resetting of the ‘set-point’ is done over a short period of time, by following the full protocol.
Normal Fat Reserves – Not All Fat Is Equal
To fully understand how it works so powerfully, you first of all need to know there are three types of fat in the body: structural fat, normal fat reserves and abnormal stored fat.
Structural fat provides protection for the body’s major organs and joints and is not burned for metabolism. Normal fat reserves are spread all over the body and are reused for fuel when the body is faced with immediate nutritional or caloric insufficiencies. These first two types of fat are needed for good health.
Abnormal stored fat, or adipose fat, is kept in storage under the skin and around the organs as a “spare fuel supply” for severe nutritional emergencies. In the obese person, it tends to collect in places like the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, ankles, upper arms and neck. This is the fat that not only causes the body to be misshapen but also causes other health problems.
Under normal dieting programs, the body will release structural and normal fat reserves. It will also burn muscle and water. The very last fat that a supple body will burn is abnormal fat reserves, since it is the body’s final survival strategy for a severely malnourished body. So, try as dieters might, all that bulging, distorting fat around the gut, hips and thighs will never be touched. Instead, these people become gaunt, saggy and weak as they lose their structural and reserve fat supplies…and further diminish their hypothalamic functions.
Your Solution to Remove That Fat Forever!
You Must Weigh Every Day: Dr Simeons developed a very specific protocol along with a precise dietary plan that is easy to do, simple to follow and works in weeks! The tremendous successes with the loss of stored fat reserves, as well as the many remarkable health benefits that accompany the resetting of the master gland, have proven to medical practitioners and patients alike that this is an effective solution to the obesity epidemic.
The program must be followed meticulously, and involves at least a month of detoxification, then a minimum of three weeks of fat mobilization followed by three weeks of stabilization. People who need to lose 15 pounds (7 kilograms) or less require a 23-day protocol of fat mobilization. And the protocol can also be used for up to 40 days to lose 34 pounds (15 kilograms) at a time.
When the full protocol is utilised in conjunction with a very low caloric diet, a condition is simulated in the body, “tricking” it into acting as though it were dealing with an emergency starvation situation. As a result, the hypothalamus signals the release of stored fat reserves. Since about 1,500–3,000 calories of stored abnormal fat is transformed into energy and nutrition, there is a safe but rapid loss of fat, over a pound or more (0.5+ kg) a day (the more fat there is to lose, the more rapid the fat loss).
More remarkable is the rapid resculpting of the body as the abnormal and distorting fat reserves literally melt away, revealing a new contoured shape in the areas of the body that have been most resistant to change. The abdomen becomes flat, the hips and thighs return to normal proportions, and fat pads in the back, upper arms and knees disappear. At the same time, the body becomes more toned and the skin more radiant. As abnormal fat reserves are transformed into energy and nutrition, people report an abundance of energy and rarely, if ever, feel any hunger.
Other Health Benefits
It is now widely recognised that the main function of the fat cells is to act as a reservoir of energy, as triglycerides, but it has also been implicated in the sex hormones metabolism. The fat cell is one of the most metabolically active tissues all over the human body, nearly tripling the blood circulation of any other organ.
As the body releases and literally dissolves excess fat cells, people notice many health benefits. There is a reduction of inflammation, which is generated by excess fat, and aches and pains disappear. Also, people report that their hip and knee pains improve, since for every pound of excess fat there is 4–5 pounds of pressure exerted on hip, knee and ankle joints.
According to Dr Simeons: “The most important associated disorders and the ones in which obesity seems to play a precipitating or at least an aggravating role are the following: diabetes, gout, rheumatism and arthritis, high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries, coronary disease and cerebral hemorrhage.”
Simeons says people following the Fat On The Move protocol discover that their blood sugar and blood pressure levels return to normal range, their moods and sleep improve, sugar and carbohydrate cravings disappear, and their triglyceride and cholesterol levels normalise. However, it is important to monitor these levels regularly, especially if you are on medication.
Always seek the advice of a medical doctor, preferably one who is familiar with natural health and weight loss. Perhaps the most significant benefits of the hCG protocol are improvements in the metabolism and resetting of the hypothalamus. After you complete the program, which lasts 6–12 weeks depending on how much weight you decide to lose, and make the appropriate changes to diet and lifestyle, the new set point will hold.
Modern Research
According to Daniel Belluscio, MD, Director of The Oral hCG Research Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who for most of his medical career has been devoted to the study of Dr Simeons method for weight loss: “…(this fat mobilizing substance) has been found in every human tissue, also in males and non-pregnant females. Investigators are very intrigued regarding its presence, for example in lungs, liver, stomach, etc.”
Due to the Neways products extraordinary nutrient content, quality and bioavailability, they give a nourishment potential hundreds of times more efficient than ordinary foods and other source of nutrients. The combined nutritional values and high utilization properties deliver optimum cellular nutrition. Because of the completeness, balance, synergy and ultimately the extraordinary bioavailability the nutrients recommended by the Savvy Team are an extremely efficient food that easily reaches areas of the brain that are more difficult to feed than others. It’s said that they have the power to “awaken the genius within”, of course referring specifically to the hypothalamus, the body’s “governing” organ.
Perhaps the most significant benefits of the protocol are improvements in the metabolism and resetting of the hypothalamus. After you complete the second phase of the program, which lasts 6–12 weeks depending on how much weight you decide to lose, and make the appropriate changes to diet and lifestyle, the new set point will hold indefinitely. For people who are obese, several rounds of the specified regime and diet will be necessary.
“Every disease has a beginning,” notes Dr Belluscio. “Those 10 pounds that someone cannot seem to lose can also be seen as the beginning of a progressive disorder called obesity. This initial stage may last a number of years. Although the disease is not mature and the body may not be noticeably distorted, the dangers are clear. As the body ages and the metabolism slows down, the pounds can naturally pack on,” he warns. “Even at 10 pounds overweight, people are gambling with their health. Those 10 pounds signal the potential onset of hypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and cancer—all the increased risk factors that come with obesity.”

Thank you Linda for this informative and well-researched article. I agree that reducing toxins in the home is a wise first step in supporting the body to return to its intended size and shape, and quality nutrition the second!
I heard an interview on ABC radio today with a researcher doing a Qld study on the effects of chemicals on children. Prof. Peter Sly expressed his interest in the way that chemicals affect fat metabolism.
The following is from the ABC website article “Disease, Disorder and Chemicals”:
“There are data that suggests that early life exposure, even in the mother’s womb, to some of the chemicals, the plasticisers and the flame retardants that we’re all exposed to, change the way the body’s fat cells metabolise lipids,” says Professor Sly.
“It’s over years of exposure of fat in the diet that obesity may develop and that then leads into diabetes and cardio-vascular disease in the adult.
“If we can understand how this occurs and what type of diets then compound these exposures, we may be able to suggest some preventative strategies.”
How fortunate are we Neways members who already have access to “preventative strategies”that work!!
“Obesity has overtaken smoking as the leading cause of premature death and illness in Australia” – that’s cause for concern.
I‘ve tried diets of all sorts over the years without success. I’m a life member of Jenny Craig and spent six months on the Weight Watchers regime strictly adhering to their program. My weight would fluctuate each week – up a kilo or down a kilo but, on the whole, remaining fairly stagnant. I do have several health issues involving the hormonal system which I believe is contributing to my inability to lose weight so this program sounds as if it could work for me.
I’m excited at the possibilities for Vic and for me as we both struggle to lose weight!
This is a fantastic article as it explains how there are many factors that contribute to being overweight whether it is a little or a lot. For me since going through menopause I have found that I have been able to loose the weight required but then always seem to put 5 – 7kgs on which I don’t seem to loose without doing a lot of exercise. Reading this article makes sense as to why. I will certainly be doing this program.
Before starting the program I had suffered from a severe intolerance to animal proteins for the last 22yrs (from the age 14)…I was astounded to find that the futher into the program I got, the less my reactions to the proteins became, and by the end of week 3 I was able to stop all external medications related to my allergy…I have just completed the intensive 40 day program to which I lost a total of 15.9kg and am into my 2nd week of the maintenance program and have lost a further 3kg…My most outstanding moment was on day 3 of maitenance when I realised that now even without the drops, I am still able to eat animals proteins and to date have had not one hives, miagrane, rash, lumps or even nose bleeds!!! I can’t wait to start my 2nd program… I haven’t felt this physically or mentally healthy in 10yrs…18.9Kg DOWN & ONLY 2OKG TO GO… I am so excited to start my 2nd intensive program.. Thankyou so much for guiding me in the RIGHT direction to help me regain my life and my love for life 😀
